Broncs, Lady Broncs Lose at Scott City The Lakin Broncs and Lady Broncs traveled to Scott City Friday night and both suffered losses. In the girls game, Lakin stayed close for the first half, trailing only by five at the half. In the second half, Scott City pulled away for the 57-45 win. Mariah Hill led the Lady Broncs with 16 points while Mariah Watkins chipped in 9 points. In the boys game, Lakin trailed from the opening tip on the way to a 70-45 loss. The Broncs, trailing by 17 after the first quarter started the second on a 8-2 run to cut the lead to just 9 points but the Beavers closed out the first half on 14-4 run to keep the Broncs in a hole. Cody Kinnier scored 10 first-half points on his way to a team-high 16 points. Reno Armstrong was also in double figures with 10 points for the Broncs. Lakin is back in action on Tuesday as they travel to Satanta to battle the Indians in High Plains League action. Pre-game starts at 6:15 with Lady Broncs action at 6:30.
